ORION SafetyLane™ Cloud

ORION SafetyLane™ Cloud is a cross-platform mobile application that provides a secure, self-service digital dashboard for managing vehicle safety lane checks in compliance with USDoT and corporate inspection regulations. The Safety Lane inspection involves breaking the process down into key categories: documentation, the walk-around, and mechanical/safety systems. It is typically conducted when a vehicle returns to the yard from either a daily or Over-the-Road manifest delivery. The goal is to ensure commercial vehicles and their trailers or containers are roadworthy.

ORION SafetyLane™ provides a vehicle or container specific checklist used by inspectors. It includes visible and operational functional checks of critical mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, cooling systems, and other systems appropriate to the vehicle, operating environment, and delivery specifications. As issues are uncovered, a description is entered into the app along with photographs. This information is instantaneously available to vested parties such as mechanics for timely corrective action. Repair timeline estimates are posted for review by operators and dispatchers which can affect delivery schedules or identifying the transport vehicle as Out Of Service, thus requiring appropriate replacement.

Passing the ORION SafetyLane™ inspection process successfully allows the carrier to receive the necessary validation or a printed Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) decal or report, indicating the vehicle has zero critical out-of-service violations.

ORION SafetyLane™ can also be used in conjunction with the optional ORION ShopMate™ and ORION Artificial Intelligence Logistics Orchestration Cloud Platform (OALOP).
