Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Praxis Technologies, Inc. ("Praxis", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit praxistechinc.com, communicate with us, or use the ORION AI Logistics Orchestration Cloud Platform (OALOP), our mobile applications (DockMate, ShopMate, SensorMate, FreightMate, SafetyLane, ShipMate and eLog), our IoT transceivers, and our integration, support and training services (together, the "Services").

Praxis is a United States company headquartered at 879 Dante Court, Mantua, NJ 08051, and a contractor under the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule. This policy applies to information handled by Praxis in its role as the operator of this website and the Services. Where we process data on behalf of a customer under a separate contract or Data Processing Agreement, that agreement — not this policy — governs how we handle that customer's data.

Scope

This policy covers our public website, our sales and support interactions, and the account and telemetry data generated when authorized users operate the ORION platform, mobile apps and connected devices. It does not cover third-party websites, applications or services that we link to or integrate with, each of which is governed by its own privacy practices.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Information you provide directly. Your name, company or agency, job title, business email address, phone number, and the content of your message when you request a demonstration or quotation, contact support, subscribe to updates, or otherwise communicate with us.
  • Account and profile information. Credentials, roles and permissions, and configuration settings for users provisioned to the ORION platform or mobile apps.
  • Operational and device data. Logistics events, shipment and dock records, telematics, sensor readings, and location data generated by the Services and by IoT transceivers that your organization has deployed, processed in order to deliver the orchestration functions you have configured.
  • Technical and usage data. IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and interaction logs, collected automatically when you use the website or the Services.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Identifiers stored on your device as described in the "Cookies" section below.
  • Information from third parties. Business-contact and firmographic details from our partners and public sources, and information from identity, single sign-on or integration providers you choose to connect.

We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information through the website, and we ask that you not send it to us through unsecured channels.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, operate, secure and improve the Services and the website;
  • respond to your enquiries and arrange demonstrations, quotations and onboarding;
  • provision accounts, authenticate users and administer roles and permissions;
  • deliver logistics orchestration, monitoring, reporting and support functions;
  • send service, security and administrative messages, and — where permitted — relevant product communications you can opt out of at any time;
  • detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse and security incidents;
  • meet our contractual, legal, tax and federal-procurement obligations; and
  • develop new features and analyze aggregate, de-identified usage trends.

Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract with you or your organization; our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services; your consent (for example, for certain communications or non-essential cookies); and compliance with legal obligations.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site, and — with your choice where required — analytics and preference cookies to understand usage and remember settings. You can control cookies through your browser and, where offered, through an on-site preference control. Disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the website function. If we deploy analytics or advertising technologies, we will describe them and honor applicable opt-out and "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals as required by law.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as follows:

  • Service providers. Vendors who host, secure, support and help us operate the Services under contracts that limit their use of the information to those purposes.
  • Your organization. For accounts provisioned by an employer or agency, administrators of that organization may access account and usage data.
  • Legal and safety. Where required by law, regulation, legal process or government request, or to protect the rights, property and safety of Praxis, our customers or the public.
  • Federal procurement. As necessary to meet obligations under the GSA Schedule and other government contract terms.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here — to provide the Services, meet our legal, contractual and procurement obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements — after which we delete or de-identify it. Retention periods for customer operational data are governed by the applicable customer contract.

Data security

We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards — including access controls, encryption in transit, network protection and monitoring — designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

International data transfers

We are based in the United States and process information there. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in and processed in the U.S. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a portable copy of your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to appeal a decision about your request. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

U.S. state privacy rights

Residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have the rights described above, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As noted, Praxis does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf where the law permits.

Marketing choices

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us. We will still send necessary service and security messages.

Children's privacy

The website and the Services are intended for businesses and government organizations and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links and integrations

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party sites and applications. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies before providing information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice as appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
