ORION eLog™ Cloud is a cross-platform mobile application used by vehicle operators to provide location data and situational awareness of operator-assisted mobile assets such as cars, vans, commercial trucks, construction equipment, motorcycles, bicycles, and off-road vehicles. It can also be used by human delivery carriers.
ORION eLog™ can be used as a stand-alone mobile application or if more robust operator and delivery control are required, the app is interoperable with optional ORION Artificial Intelligence Logistics Orchestration Cloud Platform (OALOP) and ORION FreightMate™ Cloud. The app uses native features of mobile devices to include, but not limited to Wi-Fi, cellular, GPS, internal storage, clock time, time zone, text messaging, and telephone calls.
Provided features available are operator Hours of Service, real-time location, and route optimization to include traffic, weather, construction reroutes, landmarks, tolls, fuel and EV charging stations for passenger vehicles, vans, and commercial trucks. The app enables drivers to enter information about themselves, their transport vehicle, and any applicable trailer and freight. Data input is via typing, scanning QR codes, and using the device camera for pictures. Typical vehicle input includes name, license plate, VIN, model, type, odometer, and fueling or charging times, locations, and charges. Enroute stops including origin and destination date, time, location and picture of surrounding areas can also be input.
